Day 1: Guwahati – Shillong
Arrive at Guwahati Airport or Railway Station and drive towards Shillong, the charming hill capital of Meghalaya. En route, stop at the scenic Umiam Lake for beautiful views and photographs. Continue to Shillong and check in to your hotel. In the evening, explore Police Bazaar and enjoy the lively local atmosphere. Overnight stay in Shillong.
Day 2: Shillong – Cherrapunji – Shillong
After breakfast, set out for a full-day excursion to Cherrapunji, renowned for its dramatic cliffs, waterfalls and lush landscapes. Visit Elephant Falls and Shillong Peak en route, followed by attractions such as Nohkalikai Falls, Seven Sisters Falls, Mawsmai Cave and Eco Park, depending on local conditions and time. Return to Shillong by evening. Overnight stay in Shillong.
Day 3: Shillong – Mawlynnong – Dawki
Today, travel towards Mawlynnong, known for its beautifully maintained village surroundings. Explore the village and visit a nearby Living Root Bridge. Continue towards Dawki and the famous Umngot River, admired for its clear water. Enjoy an optional boating experience, subject to weather and river conditions, before returning to Shillong. Overnight stay in Shillong.
Day 4: Shillong Local Sightseeing
Spend the day discovering Shillong at a relaxed pace. Visit Ward’s Lake, Cathedral of Mary Help of Christians, Don Bosco Museum and other selected attractions. Later, enjoy panoramic views from a local viewpoint or spend time shopping for handicrafts and local products at Police Bazaar. Overnight stay in Shillong.
Day 5: Shillong – Guwahati – Departure
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive back towards Guwahati. Enjoy the final views of Meghalaya’s rolling hills and green countryside along the journey. On arrival, transfer to Guwahati Airport or Railway Station for your onward journey, concluding your Meghalaya holiday with memories of waterfalls, caves, living root bridges and beautiful mountain landscapes.
